Overview of the Project:
This project involved the full refurbishment of the 19th Century, Grade 1 Castle. This visitor attraction and family home required specialist contractors to carry out restoration works using traditional building techniques to conserve the the castle. The works included re-roofing with natural Bangor blue slates, the manufacture of bespoke curved cast iron gutter and repairs to the orginal sash windows. Internally, the walls and ceilings were replastered, with the ornate mouldings and wall finishes restored to their orignal likeness. Mechanical and electrical services were also upgraded as part of this scheme.
