The former Majestic cinema on the Lisburn Road, one of the last remaining venues of its kind in the city, has sat empty for several years.
Cleary Contracting have had the pleasure of restoring and refurbishing the 80-year-old building on behalf of the Windsor Baptist Church.
The building on the Lisburn Road once played host to the Majestic cinema, before being turned into a furniture store in the 1970s. It was once one of the city’s listed buildings, but was then de-listed in 1998.
The newly refurbished building, set to open in 2021 will host: A new amphitheater, music rooms, coffee shop, meeting rooms and children’s centre.
The building has the latest in security, audio and network technology. The church currently streams video content including digital gatherings, baptisms and kids and tots programmes and a full spectrum of talks and audio content from the new building.
In 2021 they hope to welcome back their growing congregation to the new building. We’d like to thank everyone at the Windsor Baptist Church for sharing their vision with us.
