Overview of the Project:
We recently completed the full refurbishment of Glenmona House for the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. Glenmona House is a grade A listed building so full restorative works were carried out in a sympathetic manner with traditional construction methods used where possible. The main works included: repairs and refurbishment of 75 sash windows, 48 Victorian doors, repairs to existing internal and external cornices and mouldings, re-slate roofs and isolated repairs to others using nail and bib technique. Repointing of 18th century perimeter walls to courtyard, involving stripping ivy and weeds, raking out joints and using a lime sand mortar to repoint the stonework and rebed coping stones and reinstate falling stones for the entire wall. Sand blast cleaning of all external walls, removing years of built up paint, raking out cracks in render using expoxy render filler to repair cracks, repaint cracks, repaint walls in Kiem Soldalit paint to match existing.
Duration of contract: 35 weeks.
